Personal Development Masterclasses (PDM)
Transitioning from school to the workplace can be difficult as schools often do little to prepare students for life after school, resulting in a large number of youths without employment opportunities. Personal branding is essential for individuals to present their best selves to potential partners in the marketplace. To help individuals prepare for the workforce, virtual "Personal Development Training Series" are held, empowering participants with the relevant knowledge and skills to package and position themselves for success.

Prefects Board Mentorship Program
The Prefects board needs to develop self-confidence, humility, authenticity, and assertiveness to hone the skills necessary for developing core leadership competencies. Student leaders can develop these qualities by working with mentors and being trained on key roles in student organizations. Although it is the job of parents and the community to develop leadership skills in children, having a formal leadership education in schools is essential. The Excellence Foundation for South Sudan organizes a one-month mentorship program for student leaders in selected primary and secondary schools to help them develop leadership skills.

Developmental Career Guidance
Many upper primary and secondary school students choose a career based on parental, peer, and societal influence, and drop out of education post-secondary school due to a lack of guidance. There is also a gap in awareness of vocational careers among students. To address these issues, a career guidance project was launched in Juba, South Sudan in 2021, aimed at helping students transition from school to workforce and higher education. The project will be piloted in 8 schools in Juba and Central Equatorial State, serving students with poor self-concept, low levels of aspiration, lack of academic and social skills, cultural disadvantage, and low motivation. The project aims to improve students' occupational aspirations and self-concepts through curriculum innovations, increased guidance personnel, and presenting curriculum around the vocational implications of each subject.
