1. Introduce yourself to us?
I am social media and content marketing expert, handling businesses all across the globe.
2. Why did you choose the field of marketing? How did you get introduced to this field? What fascinates you the most about your career choice?
I love marketing for two reasons. The first one is totally practical, it is that you only can analyze by doing the work and collecting the data, nothing theoretical. The second reason is that it is an evergreen career, till the time businesses exist, marketing will also be there as it is the backbone of any business.
I got introduced to the field in 2017. Due to my software job, I became financially secured to explore more in life. The adventure of meeting new people, and working on new businesses fascinates me every day. I am growing exponentially.
3. Why did you choose to freelance? When did you begin to freelance? Were you planning it, or how did it happen?
Currently, I am handling businesses of my own, but yes, I started freelancing with my full-time job to explore more in life. In love with writing, I began my freelancing career with content writing. I created a blog, but later on, when I entered the freelancing world, I was surprised to know that I can even get paid for it.
4. How did you get your first client? What was your first project?
My first opportunity was a sponsored blog on bold blush and it was mesmerizing. The first project of writing was a decent one where I had to write and got paid for it. My struggle was not so big as I myself was in the exploring stage and giving the proper time to absorb this world.
This is the only suggestion I want to give to new freelancers that explore and gain experience in 1st year of their career and don’t overthink about money or sustainability.
5. What are the most prominent techniques that you use to market yourself?
Content was my thing, I still love content marketing. I create good content on Linkedin to build my expertise in the field and later on to build a magnificent brand. When you show up daily, it shows dedication, and all clients want to work with a dedicated person
6. How do you ensure productivity? What are the critical points to keep in mind to ensure efficiency?
You can be productive by setting goals for the day a night before only. If you want to be efficient in your work make sure you are implementing what you consume and tracking your actions quarterly. Good time management is the key to efficiency.
7. Throw some light on the importance of choosing niches and working on personal branding for freelancers.
Niche is very important, as we all know surgeons are paid way better than physicians. But again, if you starting out don’t overthink and just start, later on, you can figure out your niche. Personal branding is so important for freelancers in long run. It gives you infinite opportunities
8. What is the one major pro and/or con of freelancing, according to you?
One major pro is that you are your own boss when it comes to choosing projects you want to get associated and the con is the inconsistent money which can also be adopted with time.
9. Have you turned down a potential client? If yes, why?
Oh yes, many! I don’t say yes unless I see a future with that client. Working for a long term if payment is good but the project doesn’t excite me, I say no.
10. What’s your best piece of work to date? Why do you think that’s your favorite piece?
My best piece of work I believe is one of my 1:1 coaching clients, where she was happy and satisfied. I love working with her because I make her confident. She was scared to show her face and now she is creating amazing content. Confidence is an indirect monetary skill essential in life and business.
11. What mission and vision do you have? How do you want history to look at you?
My mission is to help as many women as I can in my lifetime. I want to make them independent and feel good about their lives. My vision is to create an authentic brand that only serves value and no fluff.
12. What would do you differently if you had to begin your career again? What would you focus on once you restart?
I will seek out for solution by which I mean courses or mentorship to save time. I made the mistake of trying to figure it out all by myself.
